As you know, our next BIG election will be November 2024. But why should we care? You might check out Romans 13:1-7, where the Bible tells us that governing authorities have been instituted by God. In a Constitutional Republic, “We the People” are the government and our participation is mandatory if we are to keep it.
That is why Trinity has a COMMUNITY IMPACT TEAM. There are over 8,000 teams in the U. S. Our mission is to INFORM Christians and the community about culture, religious liberty, elections, and legislative issues. We then EQUIP ourselves with information so we can inform others. Next, we ALERT everyone about events, meetings, and bills. And we MOBILIZE to support good or oppose bad issues on the local, state, and national levels. This is a spiritual battle – we PRAY every step of the way. One of my goals is to NOT waste your time, so instead of regular meetings, we do a lot by email. We thank God for good Christian candidates willing to take on this huge endeavor and serve. There is already a list of races for next year; Iredell-Statesville Board of Education – 3 seats, NC State Senator, NC House of Representatives – 3 seats, Iredell County Commissioners-3 seats, Judges and a District Attorney, 6 NC Commissioner races, US House of Representatives, Governor, Lt. Gov., Attorney General, Secretary of State, and the U. S President and Vice President. I suggest that you find a candidate(s) to donate to and volunteer your time to help.
We can only change our government if we PRAY, VOTE, AND GET INVOLVED! For the 2024 election, a candidate needs to file by December 15th. There are also committees for the Town of Mooresville and County Commissioners that citizens can be appointed to.
The Primary is Tuesday, March 5th. If there are 2 or more Republicans. running for the same office – the Primary election will determine the 1 candidate to go forward to the November election. Volunteers are needed to get in place NOW and then we will need to get out the VOTE. About 2 weeks ago, a very qualified, Christian candidate lost in the Mooresville Graded School Board of Election race by only 275 votes.
For the Primary election we will also have Poll Observer Training. This is someone who goes through training for an inside position during voting to watch what goes on. This helps stop election fraud.
We will also need LOTS of volunteers to hand out voter guides at voting locations.
Please use your sphere of influence to talk to others about issues and how to get involved. We no longer have the luxury of excuses. PRAY for our Nation and ask what you can do to be part of the solution.
